Weekly Real Estate Take - December 2025 - Week 3

by John Cooper

Just when things are supposed to slow down Nanaimo single-family home sales doubled compared to the previous week. 23 homes sold last week, compared to 11 the week before.  Despite my predictions for market activities to slow, activity has increased. I suspect this is just a pre-holiday flurry of activity. That said, it will be interesting to observe sales activities over the next 4 weeks. Listing market activities have slowed considerably.

This Week in John’s Life

Last week was spent preparing plans for 2026 and finishing up the final sales of 2025. The uptick in market activity last week was definitely felt by our team.  Spring 2026 is going to be a busy one.

I finalized all my holiday plans this week which included some shopping with Avery and June. The next few weeks I plan on taking the natural slowdown of our market to unplug and recharge and if this is your recharge season, I hope you have the opportunity to do the same. If you need anything, reach out.
