Weekly Real Estate Take - November 2025 - Week 3

In the last 2 weeks almost 70 single-family homes were introduced to the Nanaimo market. Those are big numbers considering we are only 38 days away from Christmas. Sales have declined since the previous week, with only 15 homes selling last week, down from 28 selling in the week prior. This is a good time to list if you are serious about your pricing. The advantage of this time of year is a lack of competition. That said, there is also a reduction in demand. Timing really depends on the product and your plan.

The 3 buyers that secured the largest discounts this week are the buyers of 180 Canterbury Cres who secured a 22% discount off the $1,799,800 asking price (sale price $1,400,000). This Week in John’s Life

This week was full of all the things I love; friends, family & real estate. I was fortunate to meet a client selling a home she has lived in for over 50 years (image here)! This is one of the best parts of my job. I love hearing the stories and memories that surround the land we live on. So inspiring. This home was also just listed today (video here).

I also went over to Vancouver to celebrate with some friends that I have known for over 40 years (image here). Earlier this week I did some morning Modo Yoga with my friend Ray Little from Duncan. Ray is one of the top agents in Duncan, BC and also a very good friend (image here).
