Weekly Real Estate Take [March 2025 - Week 3]

by John Cooper

Market Update

The number of new homes listed this week has moderated to a more sustainable level with 41 new single-family detached homes hitting the market in the last 7 days. We have also seen a 50% increase in reported home sales with 18 homes selling in the last 7 days. Despite the undertone of economic certainty demand for Nanaimo homes remains steady.

This Week in John’s Life

This week we sold a townhome in Central Nanaimo, removed subjects on home near Westwood lake (video here) and launched an ocean-view condo in Parksville (video here). We also hit an important milestone with our Seaglass project, as we are now 50% sold out (video here).

This week was also the first day of spring and the team and I enjoyed a team building day. We booked Force Boxing Club in Nanaimo and we all learned how to throw a few punches (image here). I also tested the endurance of Lucille the mini doxie with a 3.5 km walk throughout downtown Nanaimo (image here). The rest of this week will be spent soaking up the last of Spring Break on Salt Spring Island with Avery & June.
